Come in and check out the newest additions to the library! We have added a couch to make a cozy reading area in a corner of the library. We have also added a new love seat to the foyer. We just put our rotation books and new children's material on display as well, so it is a really great time to come and see what the library has to offer!

Neepawa Library will be wrapping up our winter travel series in March with a presentation from local travel-explorer, Ineke Mack. She and her husband traveled to the Netherlands in 2019 to walk the Pieterpad (Peter's Path). Here's another item to add and check off of your travel adventure bucket list and an excellent chance to learn more about the trail from someone who has walked it. The presentation will be on Thursday, March 12, at 5:30 pm in our meeting room.
Central Plains Cancer Services is offering two more free presentations in March at the Neepawa Library in the Awareness & Prevention Sessions. On Thursday, March 12th they will be talking about Lung Health - Smoking, Vaping and Radon. On Thursday, March 26th, there will be a discussion on Men's Cancers. Both presentations are at 2:00-3:00 pm in our meeting room; snacks and beverages will be provided as well.

The evening will feature Steve Robinson and Elisabeth Saftiuk speaking about “People Living and Working Together: Jane Jacobs on City Planning and Ethics” followed by time for discussion with the audience. The Brandon Public Library is also pleased to announce that the Winnipeg Public Library’s Writer-in-Residence, Carolyn Gray, will join us for a writing workshop on self-editing on Saturday, March 21st from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Gray is an award-winning playwright and her works include the play, The Elmwood Visitation. We are very fortunate to have her for the afternoon and invite writers of all skill levels to join us for a talk on self-editing, spanning what to do after you've got that first draft down, how to analyze your own work, find ways to improve it, and so on. Limited spots are available for this workshop and registration is required. To sign up, please call the library at 204-727-6648 or email programs@wmrl.ca.
