May 28, 2020
The Western Manitoba Regional Library’s reopening plan begins this June. For more information about the reopening plans of each of our branches, please click here.
All borrowed item due dates have been automatically extended to prevent overdue fines at this time. If pre-existing fines are preventing you from accessing our eResources, please contact the Library (204-727-6648 or email@example.com) and we can work out a solution. Please note that borrowed library materials will be due back on July 2, and that at that time they will again be subject to late fines.
We are now accepting book returns at each of our branches. Returned items are placed in quarantine for seven days before being handled. This means that items will still appear on your online library account for seven days after you return them.
Library Card Expiry Dates:
If your library card has expired and you cannot access online resources, please call the main Brandon number at 204-727-6648 and leave a message with your name, telephone and library card number and we will renew your card for you as soon as possible. For more immediate assistance, email this information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Library Card Registration:
During our closure anyone can sign up for a library card to receive access to online resources and book deliveries. To sign up for a card, please email your name, phone number and mailing address to email@example.com or phone us at 204-727-6648. Even if you live outside of our regular service areas, a free temporary card is available to you until June 15. Beginning on June 15, Non-Resident library memberships will be subject to an annual fee of $50, or a three-month fee of $15.
Online eResources access:
Your library card provides access to a number of electronic resources, including ebooks, audiobooks, magazines and movies. Follow this link to the eResources page to sign up for any of these digital services.
To set up an account:
If you have difficulty setting up any of these resources or you are unsure if your PIN is on file, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance, or call the main number in Brandon at 204-727-6648 or your local branch.
Contactless Book Delivery and Pick-Ups
All of our branches are pleased to provide contactless access to our collections, either in the form of deliveries or “curbside” pick-ups. Please click here for more information.
Neepawa: Community Volunteer Income Tax Program
Neepawa Library has temporarily suspended the drop-off/pick-up of Income Tax packages until the library reopens or an alternate location is chosen. Any questions about the program can be directed to Jane at 204-354-2220.
All programs and events at our branches have been cancelled during the library closures. In addition, all privately booked events using the Brandon Library’s or Neepawa Library’s meeting rooms have been cancelled.
Thank you for your understanding.
