World Poetry Day: Poetry in Many Languages

The Brandon Public Library is delighted to collaborate with the BU Hawkweed Literary Forum and the BU John Robbins Library in hosting a poetry reading in honour of World Poetry Day --  an international event sponsored by UNESCO, celebrating poetry all over the world.

We're inviting people to bring a piece of poetry by a published deceased author, and read or recite it.  We encourage poetry from as many languages and cultures as possible for this event.  Please limit your reading and commentary to 5 minutes or less.

Book Club

The first meeting will be held on Monday, March 13 at 7:00 pm in the Library' s meeting room.  Participants will have an opportunity to have input into the format of the book club including selection of titles and frequency of meetings.

Tea and Cookies will be served.
