Assistant Librarian - Programming and Outreach Services, Brandon Public Library

The Western Manitoba Regional Library is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to fill the role of Assistant Librarian – Programming and Outreach Services. Under the supervision of the Director of Library Services, the Assistant Librarian is responsible for the Brandon Library’s Children’s Department, and for overseeing the programming, outreach, and marketing initiatives of our five-branch library system. This is a professional position requiring an MLIS degree, proven success with public programming, and library management experience.

Salary Range: $50,000 to $55,000 or commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Summer Assistant - Summer Programs (Term)

Job Summary:

Summer Reading Program promotion and implementation, including planning, preparing and presenting summer craft and activity programs.

Employees must be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment; be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred and is legally entitled to work in Canada.

Hours and Wages:

30 hours per week for eight weeks.

Terms and days of work will vary by location. Hours must be worked as scheduled; no vacation or unpaid leave of absence time will be considered within the term of the position.

$11.35 per hour
