With a growing trend to live, share, and experience our lives through the medium of social media, we are increasingly at risk for a variety of mental health stressors. This presentation, facilitated by the Crisis and Trauma Resource Institute, explores the impact of social disconnection, the technology-driven culture of perfectionism and the relentless fear of missing out (FOMO).

Access to/use of cameras and microphones are strongly recommended.

New LEGO building challenges will be presented to participants each month, along with LEGO-themed adaptations of classic games. This program is free to attend and all LEGO will be supplied by the Library. Spots will be limited and masks will be mandatory for all participants. The Library provides book club kits free of charge and we offer a wide variety of titles to choose from.

Join members of The Brandon Scrabble Club for an afternoon of Scrabble, coffee, and laughs. Scrabble boards are provided by the club and all levels of skill are welcome.

No registration is required for this program. Please note that due to COVID-19 concerns and public health orders, all participants will be required to wear masks and to provide proof of vaccination in order to participate.

Submissions are limited to 1000 words each.

This Creative Writing program follows a workshop model. The group meets virtually every two weeks to provide each other with feedback on works in progress. In the intervening weeks, participants email their work to Alex, who then distributes the writing to everyone in the group. No previous writing experience is necessary!
