Brandon University and the Brandon Public Library are excited to partner on a public speaker series that will bring academic research into the community. Once a month, a member of BU's faculty will present their research to a public audience at the Brandon Public Library. Presentations will follow one of two formats: the first format is a 30-minute talk geared towards a lay audience, followed by a discussion period. The second format is an evening of two 15-minute talks by two speakers with entirely different research areas, followed by a discussion period about the unlikely pairing. The Speaker Series aims to bridge the gap between "town and gown" by providing the public with engaging learning opportunities, while also providing faculty a wider audience for their work. This series will feature wine and food pairings from a variety of local restaurants, showcasing Brandon’s downtown culinary scene. No registration required.
