BRANDON

The Brandon Public Library will continue to offer quick & easy Hold Pick-Ups. Beginning in June, pick-ups will happen primarily out of our Shoppers Mall location, which is open from Monday to Friday, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Patrons may pick up their available holds at any time during these hours. Please wait for confirmation from our staff who will notify you when your hold is available for pick-up at the Shoppers Mall. If you wish to pick-up an order from our Downtown branch, located in the Town Centre, we ask that you please specify this when speaking to staff.

Holds can once again be placed directly through the library’s Catalogue at wmrl.ca. You will be contacted when your holds are available for pick-up.

After June 1, deliveries will be limited to those with special circumstances (i.e. those required to quarantine, individuals who are sick, homebound individuals, etc.). If you think you may qualify for this, let us know and we will arrange a delivery. Please be aware that once orders are dropped off for delivery they immediately become the responsibility of the patron, including any fines that may be incurred for lost, stolen, or damaged materials. By proceeding with a Contactless delivery request you are agreeing to these terms.

CARBERRY

The Carberry North Cypress Library is offering a book delivery & pick up service to our library patrons on Wednesdays and Fridays.

If you live within town limits, we can deliver right to your door. If you are a rural patron you can schedule a time to pick up your materials.

All deliveries and pick ups are contactless, meaning all materials will be left on your doorstep or the library’s pick up table. We ask that you please respect this and keep your distance during pick up/delivery.

To place an order, please call the library 204-834-3043 on Wednesday or Friday. We will get some information on what books you are looking for, and schedule a time for delivery/pick up. We are limiting orders to 10 books.

All orders must be made over the phone, we are not taking orders via email or Facebook.

GLENBORO

Starting April 21  Glenboro/South Cypress Library will be offering a book pick-up and delivery service.

We will accept a limited number of delivery requests each week and requests will be limited to a total of ten items or less (these can be a combination of children’s and adult books, magazines, graphic novels, audio books, etc.). Requests are subject to availability from the Local Branch.

Pick-ups and deliveries will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 pm to 4 pm and patrons will be notified of a time in advance.

For deliveries, once books are dropped off at doorsteps, they immediately become the responsibility of the patron (this includes books that are lost, stolen, or damaged in any way).

Please keep in mind that these deliveries are to be CONTACTLESS for the health and safety of both our patrons and library staff. We ask that you remain inside of your home during drop off and wait until our delivery person has returned to their vehicle to come out and retrieve your materials. Our staff will be following strict guidelines for hand washing and sanitizing, however, it is up to your discretion as to whether you want to receive physical library materials at this time. It is recommended that upon receiving your books, that you quarantine them for at least 24 hours.

HARTNEY

The Hartney Public Library is offering a Curbside Pickup service at the library Tuesday to Friday afternoons.   The entire process will be Contactless, where patrons remain in their vehicles and items will be placed in the trunk. There will be a limit of 10 items including books, magazines, DVDs or audio books per household.

Place your order by calling the library on Tuesdays at 204-858-2102.  Choices are limited to items currently on our shelves in Hartney.   You can see which items are currently available by going to our website, and viewing the catalogue: https://westernman.ent.sirsidynix.net/client/en_US/default

All returning items are to be dropped off in the outside Library return box, located at the left of the Municipal Building main door.  Returns will be quarantined for seven (7) days until they are allowed to be circulated to the public again.

Please note the change in library hours during this closure period:

  • Tuesday 1-5
  • Wednesday 1-5
  • Thursday 1-5
  • Friday 1-5

NEEPAWA

Neepawa Library is offering book pickup service at the library on Monday to Friday; deliveries to homebound individuals will be considered on request. There will be a limit of 10 items including books, magazines, dvds or audiobooks. Please note: Book pick-up service will not be available June 1-5.

All pickups are contactless, meaning materials will be left in a marked bag in a bin at the front of the library at a prearranged time. 

Place your order by email to neepawa@nullwmrl.ca or call the library at 204-476-5648. We’ll assemble your choices and provide a time to pick up your items.
