Book Binding
Thursday January 25, 2024
Let’s explore pamphlet binding in the first workshop of our Book Binding Series. These sewn bindings are used on skinny books or pamphlets. We’ll learn how to make a boxed spine and sew the following stitches: saddle stitch, dash, dot dash and hitch. If you’re really eager we can tackle a chain stitch.
We can also explore making note pads out of glue, paper and recycled paper from food or tissue boxes.
And we’ll have chocolate, because it’s the day for sharing chocolate.
All materials supplied. This workshop is free for library members.
