Crazy Canadians Virtual Concert with Amy Hillis

The Western Manitoba Regional Library, Brandon University’s John E. Robbins Library, and the Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition are partnering to present “Crazy Canadians,” a virtual concert by violinist Amy Hillis.

In this 45-minute concert, Amy will highlight works for violin by Canadian composers including Métis, female, BIPOC and prairie composers. The program will be interactive with questions and activities for an audience of all ages. Amy Hillis is the winner of the 2018 Eckhardt-Gramatté Strings Competition, and she is currently a music professor at York University.

This virtual event is suitable for all ages. The concert will be held over Zoom on Thursday, July 29th at 2:00 p.m. To sign up and receive the Zoom invitation, please email programs@nullwmrl.ca.
