Fall Programs at Brandon Public Library
Wednesday September 2, 2020
The Brandon Public Library is pleased to resume public programming for both children and adults this fall! All of our programs will be held virtually this season to ensure the health and safety of our patrons as much as possible amidst COVID-19 concerns in our community.
We will be hosting Virtual Storytimes for kids over Instagram Live on Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. (follow us @WMRLibrary) and Youth Creative Writing workshops on our YouTube channel throughout the month of October (search for “Western Manitoba Regional Library” and subscribe). These children’s programs are open to all and no registration is required. Tune in to learn how you can participate with crafts and contests.
For Adults, we are offering virtual Creative Writing workshops held on alternating Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 p.m. as well as a Death Cafe on Thursday, October 1st from 7:00-9:00 p.m. More information on the online platforms that we will use for meetings will be announced to registrants via email. Registration is required for both of these programs and will open on Monday, September 14th at 10:00 a.m. To register, please email programs@nullwmrl.ca, call 204-727-6648, or visit our Downtown branch in person.
We also have a number of general interest Book Clubs as well as a Non-Fiction Book Club that are currently running over Zoom or meeting outdoors in a socially distanced manner as the weather permits. Registration for Book Clubs is ongoing as spaces become available. Please inquire with programs@nullwmrl.ca to be connected to a group.
All of our virtual programs are open to WMRL members from anywhere in the region and are completely free!
