The WMRL is excited to offer its very own Summer Reading Program this year!
This program is designed to encourage reading over the summer. Participants can receive two prizes – one for completing half of their reading prompt and one for completing all of their prompts! This program is available for all WMRL members of all ages and will run from July 4 to August 31.
Every book qualifies! Whether it’s fiction, non-fiction, picture books, novels, physical books, ebooks, anything you can get your hands on! You get to choose what to read this summer, but you should make sure they match at least one of the prompts in your reading log!
To join this program, register at your nearest branch and pick up your reading log! Then, read whenever you can and make sure to read books that match the reading prompts (for example: a book by an indigenous author). As you read, record what you’re reading in your reading log and check off the prompts.
Each reading log has special instructions on the back for how many prompts you have to check off to get your halfway and finishing prizes! To collect these, head to your local branch with your reading log and show our librarians to claim your prize!
