Glenboro Library Receives Grant

Glenboro Library Receives Grant

  Wednesday September 2, 2020

The Glenboro/South Cypress Library recently received a generous grant from Enbridge to complete a long awaited project; a new accessible washroom for the Library! The Enbridge Community Investment Team states, “Enbridge exists to fuel people’s quality of life in the communities where we live and work. We are proud to support organizations that dedicate their time and energy to champion community solutions in our key focus areas of safety, environment, and community.” This has been a project that has been a goal of the Library for a long time, and it was made possible through the grant from Enbridge, a donation from Sunrise Credit Union in Cypress River, and the Municipality of Glenboro/South Cypress.

The previous washroom was in desperate need of repair and updating, as well as the location of the washroom was less than ideal. The grant and the donation made it possible to relocate the entrance of the washroom, expand the size of the wash room space, and install new fixtures including the addition of a water softener. New flooring and fresh paint topped off the project that wrapped up in June 2020.

The Library is extremely happy to be able to offer this feature to our patrons. It is important for any business to have a functional and accessible washroom space. This renovation has added a feature to the Library that has increased its ability to provide appropriate services to the community that we serve.

The Glenboro/South Cypress Library is extending its appreciation and gratitude to Enbridge for awarding the grant money to make this project a reality, and to Sunrise Credit Union for their generous donation. The Library would also like to thank the Municipality of Glenboro/South Cypress for ensuring that this project happened!
