Libraries Are Not JUST Books! Did you know that the library has a lot more to offer you than just books? Don’t get me wrong books are amazing little bundles of paper that can transport you through time and space into different worlds with intriguing and wonderful characters; but that is not all that the library has! So what exactly can a library membership (which by the way is free if you live within the municipality of Glenboro South Cypress) get you? Books We have books for all ages ranging from board books for tots all the way up to large print for adults, with nonfiction for children, teens, and adults. If we don’t have the book you are looking for here, we can always check to see if another library will lend us their copy. Movies We currently have over 200 DVDs you can borrow for 3 days at a time! Magazines and Newspapers We have a selection of over 20 different magazines that you can choose from. These range in topics from health to house and home to quilting to news. We also carry The Gazette. Audiobooks All you need is a CD player and you are good to go! Listen to a book on a long drive or while tackling that arduous spring cleaning. Hoopla Download or stream books, audiobooks, movies, and even music! Libby (eLibraries Mantioba) Thousands of books and audiobooks at your fingertips! Other eResources Want to learn a new language? Try Mango Languages. Looking for eBooks or online games for kids? Try TumbleBooks. Check out the online magazine catalogue through Flipster. Do you or someone you know have trouble reading regular print? We have resources for that too! Have a term paper to write but are in need of some credible, peer-reviewed articles? Check out EBSCOHost. All of these eResources can be found online on the Western Manitoba Regional Library website at http://www.wmrl.ca/ under eResources. All you need is your library card number and PIN. Board Games. Grab a few friends and come check out our selection of board and card games.
