May Events at Neepawa Library

May Events at Neepawa Library

  Friday April 29, 2022

Storytime for 2-5 year olds will be every Thursday morning at 11:00 in May. Rotary volunteers read picture books, we play I Spy and do a craft that everyone can enjoy. No registration is required.

Please join us on Wednesday, May 25 at 5:30 for another local author presentation when Minnedosa’s Mark Timmons entertains us with stories from participating in Trail Running events all over the world. Mark donates a percentage of his book sales to local outdoor facilities, so your attendance and support benefits local trails and recreation as well. Mark will bring books for purchase and signing.

Our non-profit focus for May will be Miles for Mental Health, Neepawa. An international organization, Miles for Mental Health asks you to “exercise to help both your physical and mental wellbeing, and see the difference it makes.” Our display will focus on health, mindfulness, nutrition and exercise and every item borrowed from that display will give you an entry into a draw. We will also have some handmade walking sticks available for purchase by donation.

Finally, pending confirmation of the date, join us for a chat with local nutritionist Amanda Roels who will discuss the connections between your mental health and the food you eat. Please watch for more information on this interesting subject.

For more information, please contact the Neepawa Library at 204-476-5648 or by email at neepawa@nullwmrl.ca.
